Carmen de las Cuevas is a centre not only for learning Spanish but also flamenco dancing, which gives it an authentic Spanish feel. The school is located in a building adjacent to the slope of a mountain, overlooking the Alhambra, between the historic districts of Albaicín and Sacromonte.
It is accredited by the Cervantes Institute and has over 25 years of teaching experience. Classes are held in small groups, which promote the acquisition of knowledge, as well as establishing relationships with teachers, who make up a harmonious, dynamic and well-educated team.
The teaching programme has been developed on the basis of many years of teaching experience and is updated on an ongoing basis.
Carmen de las Cuevas has three sound-equipped rooms, where the flamenco dance, guitar and flamenco rhythm lessons take place, at all levels from beginner to professional.
Students receive a key to the school building and can use all the equipment: telephone, video library, computer room and free Wi-Fi, as well as the patio and terraces, every day between 8:00 and 23:00, also on weekends.
The accommodation options offered by the school are located near its building, in the historic district of Albaicín, not far from the city centre. You can choose between single or double rooms in student dormitories, independent apartment or accommodation with a Spanish family.
In addition to the courses, the school offers free trips to museums and galleries, as well as weekly information on cultural events, also from the world of flamenco. On all weekends, there are excursions to the most important places in Andalusia: Córdoba, Sevilla, Guadix, to the tropical coast of the province of Granada or to the mountainous Alpuhara.
