CILE is a school located at the heart of Malaga, near the Renaissance Cathedral.Since its creation in 1988, CILE has set itself the goal of providing high-quality teaching in a family atmosphere. The small size of the school is conducive to a pleasant learning experience: students, teachers and administrative staff know each other and spend time together not only during the classes but also afterwards. CILE is also oriented towards intercultural exchange so that students from different parts of the world don’t feel like they don’t belong.
There are many cafés and restaurants right next to the school. Students love spending time there between classes, drinking delicious coffee and eating traditional Spanish breakfasts. The centre of Malaga is full of such places. Just walk along the streets of the city, and you’re sure to find something that suits you.
The CILE curriculum and methodology have been developed on the basis of many years of teaching experience. The staff consists of Spanish natives with an academic degree in philology and specialist education in case of special courses (business, tourism, flamenco dancing), who are constantly broadening their knowledge and skills as part of further education courses, specialised conferences and online forums. Classes are held in small groups (of up to 8 people) divided according to their proficiency, assessed on the basis of a placement test. During the lessons, for didactic reasons, only Spanish is used for communication, but afterwards it is also possible to communicate in English, French and German.
CILE offers a programme of additional activities, including two hours of flamenco lessons per week, accommodation with Spanish families, and opportunities for contact with the Spanish-speaking community. CILE students are entitled to discounts in some sports clubs, bars and restaurants.
