CICA is a family business that specialises in teaching Spanish as a foreign language and has schools in Granada and Almuñécar. The school team consists of young enthusiasts with experience in language teaching and working with international groups. CICA specialises in organising summer camps for teenagers and courses for organized groups throughout the year. There are no enrolment possibilities for individual students.
During the summer months, international camps as well as language and sports camps (diving, windsurfing, sailing, horse riding, tennis, and golf) are organised for children and teenagers. The emphasis of the CICA teaching methodology is on communication skills. During the classes all four aspects of language use are trained, i.e. oral and written expression, reading and listening. The course programme also includes a diverse range of activities and excursions.
The courses are offered at all levels of language proficiency, at affordable and clearly stated prices, which include ALL the compulsory and extra-curricular activities provided for in the programme (including airport transfers, excursions, etc.).
The school provides accommodation in a student house, hotel or with a Spanish family. All locations are within walking distance of the school. The families that receive students have proven reliable over the years of cooperation, and some of them are prepared to accommodate students with special dietary needs or students with disabilities – it is enough to state such a need in the application.
Almuñécar, where one of the CICA teaching centres is located, is a small town with a population of 50,000 people in the summer and only half the number in the winter. The rich history of the coast has left in Almuñécar many interesting monuments from different eras and cultures: Phoenician, Roman, Arabic and Christian. Numerous beaches are also a local attraction.
