Spanish in Andalusia is more than just learning. It's leisure!

Sevilla

It is the largest province of Andalusia and its capital is also the regional capital. If you like sightseeing, you will have to spend a few intense days on Seville itself, and then there are the mosaics in the ruins of Italica, as well as the cities of Carmona and Ecija, which are definitely worth visiting.

The capital of the province is a city that cannot be visited in a day. The symbol of Seville is Giralda, the bell tower of the cathedral, the largest Gothic temple in the world, built over a mosque. There are many more monuments that you just have to see! Torre del Oro or the Golden Tower and the adjacent bullfighting arena of Real Maestranza, Spain Square and America Square erected for the 1930 world exposition or the island of La Cartuja, created in 1992 for another exposition are just some of them. Among the contemporary attractions is Isla Mágica, an attraction park inspired by the discovery of America.

Spanish on the move

The province has a long equestrian tradition: a show of Purebred Spanish Horses is organized here every year. It's a great place for horseback riding, but also for hiking, as Seville's landscapes are exceptionally rich, with high humidity allowing the Mediterranean vegetation to flourish.

Spanish through nature

The Guadalquivir river, with its numerous tributaries, and the wetlands of the Doñana National Park add variety to the landscapes of the province. Thanks to them, vegetation is abundant and many species of birds and animals are willing to settle in these humid areas. In the pastures of Seville, you can see majestic bulls bred to fight in the arena.

Spanish through cuisine

Seville's cuisine is based on game and pork meat, used to make stewed dishes with vegetables, rice grown along the Guadalquivir or fish and seafood from the Andalusian coast. However, the real speciality of this province are traditional sweets.

Spanish through culture

The biggest holiday in Seville is the Feria de Abril festival. For a week, the life of the city is concentrated among the decorations recreating Seville in smaller scale. There, dressed in traditional costumes, Andalusians dance and sing, and participants can eat regional dishes, watch bullfighting or horse parades. During the festival the city is bustling with colours in the rhythm of flamenco.
