If you're eager for a stronger experience, you can fly on a hang-glider and paraglider in Córdoba or in Almuñécar in Granada or try bungee jumping in Monda, in the province of Malaga. Andalusia also has a rich offer for speleologists, especially in Malaga (Hundidero-Gato and Nerja caves), Granada (Ventanas de Piñar), Cádiz (Sima de Cacao) and Almeria (Sorbas).

Horse riding has played an important role in Andalusian culture and tradition since ancient times. Every year in November, a show of Purebred Spanish Horses, called Andalusian horses, is organized in Sevilla. Specially marked horse trails lead through all the provinces of the region, but the real Mecca for horse riding enthusiasts is Jerez de la Frontera in Cádiz. Expeditions through the picturesque Huelva are also popular.

The Spanish climate allows you to play golf at any time of the year. Whether you are an experienced player or just want to try it out, you will find a suitable offer in each province of Andalusia. Most of the golf courses (and there are a few dozens of them) are located in the southern part of the region in the provinces of Cádiz and Malaga, near the seaside resorts.

Sierra Nevada in Granada is a mountain chain with the highest slopes in Spain - ideal for skiing and snowboarding. Hiking trails in the lower parts of the mountains and picturesque valleys are prepared for hiking in spring and autumn when they are not covered by snow. Sierra Nevada and Alpuhara (located in the same province), Sierra Cabrera in Almeria or Vejer in Cádiz are places that may interest you if you like mountain biking. For climbing enthusiasts, except Sierra Nevada, we recommend the Teba canyon and La Cala del Moral in Malaga as well as Sierra de San Bartolomé in Cádiz.
